1. About these terms

These Terms of Use apply to Tap Unzip (轻点解压) and its support website, provided by yang liu (XSL). By using the app or website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the service. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, use the service only with any required parent or guardian permission.

2. Your license

You may use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for lawful personal or business file-management purposes, subject to these terms and Apple’s applicable usage rules. Unless a separate custom agreement is supplied through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms do not reduce rights you have under that agreement or mandatory consumer law.

3. Your files and responsibilities

You keep your rights in your files. You are responsible for having permission to access, copy, extract, modify, encrypt, and share them. Do not use the app to violate others’ rights, distribute unlawful material, bypass protection without authorization, or interfere with systems or services.

Keep backups of important data. Damaged archives, unsupported format variants, incorrect passwords, storage limits, file-provider failures, and interrupted operations can prevent successful processing. Format support varies by operation and app version; support for reading a format does not mean the app can create it. In particular, the app does not create RAR archives.

Keep archive passwords safe. We do not retain a recoverable password history and cannot recover a forgotten encryption password. Review destinations and results before deleting original files. You are responsible for storage and sharing choices made through iOS and other providers.

4. Free use and advertising

The free version may show Google AdMob banner ads and app-open ads when returning to the app. Ad availability and content can vary by region and network conditions. Advertisers’ websites, offers, and services are provided by third parties. Review their terms before engaging with them.

Advertising and privacy choices are explained in our Privacy Policy. Declining a tracking-permission request does not remove the core compression and extraction functions.

5. One-time ad removal

Where available, “Remove Ads” is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It removes advertising within Tap Unzip when the purchase entitlement is recognized. It is not a subscription and has no recurring renewal charge.

• The App Store purchase sheet shows the actual price, currency, and applicable taxes before you confirm payment.
• Apple processes payment using your Apple Account. We do not charge you directly or receive your payment-card details.
• You can restore eligible purchases using the same Apple Account, subject to Apple’s rules. Device changes, refunds, or transaction revocations may affect entitlement verification.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law. Visit Apple’s refund support.

Product availability and future prices may change, subject to applicable law. A price change does not create a recurring charge for an existing one-time purchase. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

6. Apple, file providers, and open source

Apple, Google, Cloudflare, file providers, and services you open through sharing operate under their own applicable terms and policies. Network-dependent services, advertising, purchase verification, and third-party file access may be unavailable from time to time.

The app and its original materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party software remains subject to its own licenses. See the third-party notices provided in the app; these terms do not override those licenses.

7. Availability and limitations

We aim to provide a useful, reliable tool, but cannot promise that every archive variant will be supported or that all operations will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided on an “as available” basis without additional warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from their use.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable obligations regarding fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer guarantees. Your statutory rights and remedies remain available.

8. Changes and ending use

We may improve, change, or discontinue features subject to applicable law and existing purchase obligations. If material changes to these terms affect your rights, we will provide appropriate notice and seek agreement when required. The date at the top identifies this version. You can stop using the app and website at any time.

9. Questions and disputes

Please first contact yangliu-1995@outlook.com so we can try to resolve an issue. Nothing here prevents you from using protections, regulators, dispute-resolution channels, or courts available under applicable mandatory law, including consumer protections in your place of residence.

The English and Simplified Chinese versions are intended to have the same meaning. If you notice a discrepancy, contact us for clarification; mandatory local rights prevail.
